Would it be smart to bring up a job posting during salary negotiations?

So I'm about to enter my bi-annual review with my manager and since I got promoted recently, I plan to ask for a raise. However, I found a job posting from my company for a position lower than mine with a pay range that is about the same I'm getting paid. I was wondering if it is a good idea to bring up this posting as leverage to get more money from my company or if that's taboo.
