Hawaii romance?

I read this book in college. The FMC was a watercolor artist who moved to or visited Hawaii; the MMC had a young daughter and may have been a few years younger than the FMC. At one point the FMC got some cheap watercolors for the little girl so she could play around with them. Does it ring any bells for anyone?
