Lost my willpower to save $$ and bought a Ryzen 7 5800x to replace my 1800x

I had planned to slowly transition my 1800x system on an ASRock X370 Killer SLI/ac AM4 with 32 gb of ddr 2400 ram. Will the ram and my RX470 Graphics card be a huge bottleneck to performance? And.. more importantly, how long will my wife refuse to speak to me for spending $399 for the hot new chip? I had purchased a B450 so that I could slowly transition the 1800x to the 5800, but I just said screw it! Any Opinions?
