In the wake of a MOASS, how do we make things better?
These 10 year cycles of booms and busts have a tangible and detrimental effect on society. If (or when) a MOASS happens and the retail investors see their pay day, how can use that power to bring about meaningful change in the health of global financial markets?

Reform the SEC and put competent people on charge.
Hopefully the masses learn that their 401k is a scam and pull out.
We hold congresspeople accountable for allowing this to happen.
Why do you think that the 401k is a scam? The idea of having a retirement fund that grows with the economy seems like a decent idea to me?
It would be decent if the account value was solely a function of market conditions and your deposits, not the product of institutions manipulating prices to profit or to kill businesses.
I think in the long term it does end up appreciating in value, though there definitely can be significant market fluctuations in the short term .. for various reasons.
You should be in control of your “retirement”, as is apparent throughout all market and economy crashes.
