Another KAPPA opinion!

Discussion

Probably not a popular opinion, but here it goes anyways.

As someone who's played Tarkov for 4+ years I know a troll when I see one. The KAPPA requirements including level 71 is nothing but another test for information. I enjoyed the game a lot before it existed, and maybe that's where my perspective derives from. Not to say I don't enjoy the game now, it's definitely the best it's ever been. I feel like a lot of people have lost the ability to enjoy this game is other ways. What I mean by that is, people tend to tunnel vision tasks and speed run through them as if that's the only objective in the game. They then get frustrated when they spend hours on a task trying to complete it only to be killed over and over trying to extract with said task item. Instead of just making your own goals in the game, and completing tasks along the way. No pressure, no rush, no need to get frustrated. Letting yourself play other maps besides forcing yourself to follow the task line. How about just getting together with your group of friends, building a meme kit and rolling around maps causing havoc. Just good ole fashion looter shooter fun.

I feel like Nikkita pushing KAPPA out of reach is a good thing. To get the community away from that single chase. To allow people to open up a bit more in their EFT experience.

It won't stay like that guys, KAPPA will be obtainable in the future.

Here's a crazy thought to end this ramble. Maybe this is Nikkita's way of telling us, there won't be any more wipes. Maybe KAPPA is the end goal. Maybe we'll have the following years to push to obtain it. Who knows?

You're talking as if we didn't get a chance to bore our selves to death after Kappa.

I think you missed one of my points. There seemed to be a lot of people treating kappa like the only objective in the game. That when they got it, they didn't play much after. They would treat it as if they beat the game and there was no more content.

kappa like the only objective in the game.

It is the only real objective in the "lategame", if you're not into bumrushing Killa.

They would treat it as if they beat the game and there was no more content.

Not everyone does that. People, including me, just like the challenge and change after doing brainless PVP for months.

Especially now when the patches included like 0 content for the last year.

i can understand you, i started playing in 2017 too. yeah its good that the kappa isnt so ez to obtain anymore, but as someone who has to work 5 days a week i think i wont be able to reach anywhere near lvl 71 to be able to unlock it. yes, with that in mind i can play the game how ever i want and not need to grind those tasks. but on the other hand it feela a bit like a dick move from nikki ^^ i guess only full time streamers would be able to reach it now (well... depending on the length of this wipe). imo lvl 61 would be a bit more realistoc for some more players.

anyway, im just waiting for them to drop streets!!! rest doesnt matter that much xD

Same, most of the time I end up level 50+ before I even care to finish my tasks to get kappa. There have been wipes I don't even bother. I just like getting on with the boys and having fun. Or a late night after work where I can just relax and run some raids to find pvp.

I've always been more excited about new weapons, maps, equipment, ect..

Now imagine having a standard account and a 2x2 secure container....

You can get epsillon Wirth 2x4 ist mit the Same but better than 2x2

Which still takes forever to get and especially now that they're fucked the rep gains of prapor and of course with the flea at 20 you pretty much have to get to at least 20 to get some of the tasks done. So I don't think you're getting epsilon that quickly

It's relatively fast to get if you're not first timer.

First wipe with standard it took me about 150 hours to get epsilon. The wipe after that I had EOD already but still finished punisher within 100 hours.

100 hours is quite a bit dude, most people will take months to get it

Totally agree with everything your saying, personally i’ve been doing tasks somewhat slow and playing my scav a lot and having fun with karma. I don’t get why many people complain about it when the game is still in beta testing and they can just go do something else.

Because apart from Kappa there's nothing else to achieve after level 4 traders, if you're not into bumrushing Killa 100 times.

You literally no incentive to quest after you reached enought rep for lvl 4 traders, meaning the endgame starts sooner leaving you with nothing else to do but PVP and gain money.

The last wipe was extremely boring with basically no real good content for most people, meaning there's now less change and challenge compared to previous wipes.

The problem is that after unlocking all the traders the quests are a waste of time and kappa was the only carrot to do them. A lot of the endgame quests time and reward is awful compared to a few tech runs to sell on the flee.
