Expanding the portfolio.

NEW-COIN

I want to expand my portfolio as I only have money in eth and link. I just started putting money into tezos, but I’m genuinely curious on what are some solid projects. I know this isn’t the best place to ask because it’s a huge echo chamber for some coins but I feel like after I do some research on suggestions I’ll know what’s best for my portfolio. Appreciate the advice have a great day.

Get some Bitcoin.

Other than that, look into Algorand (ALGO) & VeChain (VET). Cardano (ADA) as well maybe.

But honestly for 90% of people, Bitcoin & Eth should make up a large part of your portfolio (at LEAST 40/50%)

Yeah I do need to even out my portfolio to a 50/50 eth btc.

You’ve got a great portfolio so far with Ethereum, ChainLink, and Tezos. I feel as if XTZ and it’s community are super undervalued right now.

Consider adding to your existing positions and get some Bitcoin in there! keep your portfolio simple so you could follow the projects.

diamondhands_devOP •

Definitely agree, will be getting some btc in there.

I have ofc. Ethereum, bitcoin, Ada, Algo and also IOTA. I think IOTA are highly undervalued...

No financially advice ofc!

One of my favorites is CRO. It has huge potential imho. The cards they offer for staking CRO are great with all of their perks and sweet sweet cashback! Plus the cards are made of metal so they double as throwing stars!

What’s CRO about and where could I purchase ? I’d have to do some more research.

I’m hoping with all the bad news coming out about bnb cro has all it needs to take off. Not to mention those juicy partnerships

Doesn't hurt to have some BTC in there either. I'm optimistic for the planned developments on Ethereum and Cardano, but please do your own research. I'm biased as I hold a bit of each.

2
diamondhands_devOP •

Yeah I’ll be adding btc for sure. I don’t really like ada and feel like they’re lagging behind a lot of other competitors.

Do you feel that you “missed out” on Bitcoin?

I read this often with Bitcoin. That they’re looking for better ROI, or that they only have $xxx or that they’ve already “missed out.”

For me, I think Bitcoin is digital gold. A store of value. So, naturally, I look at the market cap of actual physical gold. It’s about 10 trillion dollars. Worldwide wealth is around 420 Trillion, so this is not a lot (in a macro sense).

So if Bitcoin is digital gold, and gold is 10 Trillion all together and Bitcoin is better than gold, then — at some point in time — bitcoins market cap is 10 trillion. That’s about $500,000 per Bitcoin. Or, a 15x from current prices. You’re not too early.

A lot of these other projects are great. I own MATIC too. It’s pretty awesome, but how awesome will it be in 10 years? Eth is about to undergo some serious changes. How important will something MATIC be afterwards? Even ethereum itself is a bit of a gamble, it wants to take on banks, tech companies and insurance companies— simultaneously. I own eth too, but it’s speculation. MATIc is speculation on speculation. A lot of cogs on that wheel.

Bitcoin? Not nearly as complicated. I’d definitely consider adding some, minimum.

2
diamondhands_devOP •

No I don’t feel like I’m too late, these projects just caught my eye first and honestly eth is what got me into crypto. Btc will be the next thing added before anything else but I’d definitely like a few other projects to look into as I know what btc does for the most part.

Algorand (ALGO) is a masterpiece

1
diamondhands_devOP •

I don’t really enjoy algo. I have it in my portfolio ( dumping it when I can break even ) but realistically I don’t enjoy the centralized aspect of it and staking will slowly go away. I love the tech but not something I want in my portfolio.

Have a look at The Graph GRT which is an indexing and query layer. If you want decentralized storage then you have Storj.

And if you are interested in something outside the Ethereum ecosystem then have a look at Ergo.

1
diamondhands_devOP •

Ergo looks interesting, what makes you like it ?

1
KuantumWinter•

It's complimentary with Cardano. ErgoDex will be DEX of Cardano and Ergo. ErgoMixer will provide privacy by allowing you to put your coins in a pool and when spent no one can know who did so from the pool. Ergo has Oracle pools which goes beyond what Link offers. On that topic, one of the co-founders, Alex Chepurnoy, is also the co-founder of smartcontracts which became Chainlink. He is considered to be one of the smartest guys in Blockchain. He contributed to the development of Cardano as well.

As always any project can fail but, to me, this is a very promising one and that still has a low cap and is not yet available on most exchanges. I bought my ERG on gateio. And it should be coming to 4 more exchanges soon as announced by their team.

Here is an interesting article from their blog https://ergoplatform.org/en/blog/2021-07-08-a-case-for-the-combined-power-of-ergo-and-cardano/

Privacy coins are my current area of interest at the moment. Monero is a bit more of a solid bet but Oasis Network, Secret Network & Dusk Network are a few younger coins that look like very interesting projects.

I don’t trade really, just let everything stake in a cold storage and sit there and gain value through its tokenomics etc.

the_donor•

Here are what I feel are popular options based on categories, please research them yourself by looking at websites and various resources.

You have the smart contract ETH competitors: Cardano (ADA), Algorand (ALGO), Polkadot (DOT), Solana (SOL).

Privacy coins: Monero (XMR), Zcash, Dash

Defi Lending (more speculative): Aave, Compound

Decentralized exchanges (DEX) (more speculative): Uniswap (Ethereum), Sushiswap (Ethereum), PancakeSwap (Binance Smart Chain)

I would also definitely look into Bitcoin as the OG cryptocurrency and a store-of-value play ("digital gold").

Yeah I’ll be evening out my portfolio with btc for the next few months as that’s the best asset I could have lol.

First of all, i feel like you already have a strong portfolio with ETH, LINK and XTZ. I’ll forget about the classic “BTC is missing” that i’m pretty sure everyone will write. I’ll let you do your research if you want and try to not shill with my own Due Diligence.

I’ll advice Harmony (ONE), Algorand (ALGO) and Stellar (XLM).

If you want something to add as a “moonshot”, i’d go with LTO Network (LTO). I think this has the fundamentals and some kind of adoption already to eventually explode one day.

1
diamondhands_devOP •

Thank you and what’s harmony? It sounds pretty interesting.

You can't always go wrong with BTC and ETH, for they've got an amazing track records over the years. While considering looking into alts, ALGO, DOT, TIGZ, MATIC & VET are also very good and promising projects that has got promising futures too.

BTC and ETH are sure good ones because they've got an amazing track records over the years, then considering the alts, I love XTZ, ADA and BXX. BXX seems to be my new favorite, it's offering interest free lending while staking your BXX and also gives 5% returns monthly for hodling and its getting listed soon on CEX

Octopus-PawnPlatinum | QC: CC 532•

Algo, Cardano and Barnbridge I rate. You can’t go wrong with Bitcoin as a sturdy safe (as far as crypto goes) option.

Yes sir. It’s a scam my guy, why would you invest into something that has no use case realistically.

2
Critical-Session-799 WURBLEDURB•

It's not an investment so much as a money grab. I bought a few hundred worth, turned it into a grand or something around there and left. The time has almost certainly passed for that though lol

We’re actually done fighting the fud over our way bro… if you’ve actually done your own research, properly, and don’t get it.. you don’t get it. You were asking for suggestions I gave mine, if you don’t like it, you don’t like it. Best of luck to you. 🤝
