Haven't played league since q nerf. I was wondering if he is at the same power level of s10 yi. Honesly, I was sick of cosplaying kha zix with lethality build and quit the game after they nerfed his q. We all know that on hit yi is really bad at s11 but haven't played for some time and may be riot made him viable. Can I go on hit and 1v9 now?

Nah. I mean, he is fine. Is playable. But nowhere near S10 Yi. Don't expect to 1v9 solo carry.
He is a bit weaker than decent.

I wouldn’t call it a nerf, it was honestly a buff. Yes they did nerf his Q but they buffed his E again, he’s in a great spot right now I have a 60% WR with him

On-hit has never been bad this season, it just wasn't the best at the time.
Yi is balanced rn, both build paths are effective, both get the job done. Duskblade build is still incredibly braindead but weak earlygame and On-Hit still has a shitload of dps (more dps than last year by a mile thanks to kraken and Rageblades bonus damage) but barely any sustain. Overall Yi is harder to play because he isn't a Draintank who can abuse Wit's end healing. But he's still a hypercarry.
(Yes On-Hit does more damage this season, all of Yi's damage last season was wuju style and rageblade interaction, this season Yi has a 4 hit true damage passive, much more ad and On-hit interactions thanks to rageblades bonus physical damage and Wit's end) plus wuju style buffs.
On-hit was completly trash this season before the E buffs, Wit's End buff and Rageblade buff.

I normally play blind solo, and he's fine there because the teams (generally) aren't great.
I've only played ranked a few times (all with tragic results) but that's also a 100% different playstyle imo, playing against teams that are attempting to coordinate is very different from blind solo. I need to play more ranked to get a better idea, as I think that my playstyle is built around blind solo and I just need to adjust a bit once I get used to the better play.
I have played against teams that completely shut me down and erased me from the game. He is definitely more team dependent now, and if you're team isn't helping much(or losing hard all over/no pressure) you're going to have a hard time, but I don't know if that's all too new or different for any other champ. Usually you have one other good player at least, the trick is finding them and helping them snowball. Hopefully they return the favor.

The TL:DR is that Yi is in a pretty balanced state across most elos and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.
"Dusk Yi in 11.10 in plat+ had a 48.69% wr w/ 51.17% pick rate. Kraken had a 48.92% wr w/ 38.28% pick rate. Yi this patch had a 48.25% win rate overall in plat+. In diamond+ he had 47.62% wr.
Dusk Yi in 11.11(after the power shift) in plat+ had a 48.61% wr w/ 28.12% pick rate. Kraken had 50.44% wr w/ 47.15% pick rate. Yi this patch had a 50% wr. In diamond+ he had a 48.82% wr.
This patch(11.13) which is nearly finished he has 50.23% wr with kraken w/ 58.51% pick rate and dusk 48.92% wr with 24.49% pick rate. He has a 49.6% wr in plat+ and in dia+ 49.07% wr.
So what does this mean? The power adjustment that occurred in 11.11 was just a straight buff to both playstyles.
Why? Dusk Yi while stacking more AD items as the game along benefits as much as on hit yi early. This is due to the fact that with the flat E buffs at all levels early results in better skirmishing and 1v1's. The E buffs make it so that as long as you can auto the target at least 1-2x which realistically you will be doing anyways will result in more overall damage. I do not understand why there is sentiment that dusk yi got gutted when his wr with the dusk build did not decrease in any meaningful way from 11.11 to 11.13.
On-hit yi obviously benefits from more on hit damage and I don't feel like going over why. His win rate in both plat+ and dia+ both increased from the changes and on-hit is way more than playable in its current state. Those who wish for the on hit drain tank dream needs to get with the times and adapt already. Yi is in a more than playable state and those who say otherwise are delusional at best. This is shown by how the best yis in the world can still maintain masters+ like Sinerio, Report Yi, Zapdo, etc."
While this is true, I feel like a lot of people feel it is not as strong this season is because they removed all of the healing from our items, therefore you need to be a lot more careful with engages and sometimes you are left unable to fight because you are low on hp.

Yeah so basically the champ is horseshit anywhere above gold.
There is a reason the champ is close to 50% wr. It’s Bc it’s a coin flip for how good ur team is compared to the other one.
