Should I move my basement shower drain or buy a custom base?
I'm a new homeowner and a beginner with DIY projects, but have some friends who can help that are more experienced. I'm looking to put a three-piece bathroom in my basement, and am looking at shower bases that are 48x32 inches.
The problem is the drain is not centered. It is 27 inches from the left wall and 12 inches from the back. Here is a picture of the setup
Do you think I am better off breaking the concrete to move the drain, or look for a custom built shower base? I am not looking for anything fancy, just functional. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
*Edit: I should add that the width of the bathroom is 51 inches, but we will have to frame around the pipe on the right side which will make the width there closer to 47 inches.
