If you’ve tried Fox Farms nutrient trio, you’ve got to try _____.

Advice/Help

First grow was ffof and nutrient trio around 1/2 strength with great beginner results. Looking for more… looking for better. Any suggestions?

Switch to Roots Organic Original soil and NFTG nutrients. Never looked back.

Is this the one? Nectar for the Gods NGOS3004 One Shot Granules, 4 lb Soil Amendment, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WDS2FPZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_T9Z1MVXTFTV6VMV4JAWK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

How often/when do you apply it? Is it cheaper than using Fox Farms trios in the long run?

That’s their all in one product. I’m talking about their bottled nutrient line. https://www.oregonsonly.com/samples/ It’s all organic and they have feeding charts for different methodologies. If you want, you can run the base nutrients (Gaia, Medusa, Zeus, Herc) and nothing else to see how it does for you! This is a different ballgame from FF trio, so you can’t think about it as which one is cheaper. FF trio is simply not in the same league as NFTG.

Thanks!

I couldn't decide on what soil to use for my first outdoor grow, so I just mixed one bag of Ocean Forest, one Happy Frog and one Coco Loco and the plants are loving it. Feeding them with the trio at 1/4 strength.

If you want to keep it simple I have had great success with the GH trio in the past.

If you want even more simple go with megacrop. Its powdered, water soluble, single part, and cheap. Ive never used it on indoor plants because this is my first season with it, but all my outdoor plants including my vegetables are doing great

Roots Organics original soil and their dry nutes, pre charge the soil and top dress, I’ve had much better results with this.

Y’all may hate me for this but, I say just pick a nutrient line and stick with it. I just don’t feel like there is a lot of major differences in brands and plants only need a handful of nutrients.

truth!

I repot my plants 3 times and added more ffof. They are in flower now and still to hit to give nutes. I’ve hate the fox farm nutes this whole time but i can’t give them any :/

Bought FF soil for next grow. Also have the nute trio, but haven't started administering yet. 11 days in.

I'm a fan, used the 3 powders at the end too. My buds are fat and solid.

I use Fox farm too. Looking to try something new and do a comparison experiment grow. My buddy grows with Cyco nutes, his is doing real real good. He does indoor and outdoor

same here. Only used FF for outdoor. Im about to do my first run indoors and think Im going to get 2 dif soil types to run under the same conditions to see the outcome (obv seed strain and genetics will remain the same. Only dif will be in fox farm vs whatever I opt to compare with).

Yea I started with fox farm nutes outside which was pretty decent then I tried doing indoor. Once I get a bigger tent I know I can get good results. I’m still sorta new to growing and pretty much all the autos I’ve tried were butt af. So I just run fem photos. All my plants I have now started in my small tent. 2 just got flipped and the other 2 been outside for a couple months now.

Advanced nutrients Sensi Grow & Bloom A+B w/b52, Big Bud, Overdrive & Flawless Finish & some Mammoth P

5 autos in a 2x4 I pulled a pound each harvest! 3 to 5 gallon pots using a bag of soil and a bag Mother Earth 70/30 coco/perlite as my medium.

I'd love to see a pic of 5 in that tent and how it's setup. I have a 2x4 as well and want to pack it tighter

Have a friend that does a half mix of Ocean Forest with half Happy Frog 🐸 His plants are doing well. Gonna give that a shot.

The post I didn't know I needed to see. I'm finishing off the last of Fox nutes. Was looking towards some dry stuff. So I can just water.

Feel like fox farms ocean forest is everyone’s first go to. Glad I switched to roots organic 707 formula. Much bigger healthier plants. Coco based medium with nutrients already in there. It’s very hard to overwater if your not watering on a schedule and can use extra nutrients and it handles it just fine.

IV used and still spike alil with fox farm trio however this grow im mostly using general organics/hydroponics brand trio plus supplements they have like calmag/bio-root/Kool boom and Armor Si which is silica. Highly recommend. I know someone with years using this brand and I heard nipping it with alil fox farm along the way could be very beneficial. So far, my grow has really improved from this. In fox farm happy frog. Bio Bizz from known source is really good too. Plenty of great options out there. General hydro is fairly simple u won't need to adjust feed quantities as often as FF Trio. Good luck choosing one of many ways to do this!

FF bush doctor line is good too you are supposedly supposed to use everything together on the feeding chart. My buddy has used all of his their nutes in one grow and got crazy results.

Consistency and "technique" will usually make a much more significant improvement than a specific nutrient line... With that said, it's fun to experiment- and there really are products that work fantastically well. For auto flowers- I really like Veg+Bloom with a few select additives. It's essentially a one part- though you'll want to use stax if you have soft water or are growing in coco (bring it up to .2 EC with stax). It's a lot cheaper to ship than a liquid nutrient, and their microbe product (+Life) offers a ton of bang for your buck. it replaced 3 products I was using previously (recharge, tribus grow, and tribus bloom).

I agree with you- I had what I would call a ‘perfect’ first run- maybe chopped one plant a week early. https://i.imgur.com/GfRzWxv.jpg Im not even looking to increase yields, more about quality. Thanks for input.

In that case... Stank in stank out- try incorporating some kelp and guano products.

I switched from the trio to megacrop/bud explosion/cag mag and got a 25% bigger yield.

Same soil/lights/pots/lst
