This article isn't even sourced.
How many of these actions predate Biden, trump, and Obama? When trump was first elected there were still a bunch of eminent domain cases still in process from the baby bush administration.

So this is just a rehash of a story: https://reason.com/2021/04/14/biden-eminent-domain-border-wall-mexico-texas-fred-cavazos-rey-anzaldua/
Can't wait to see the folks of reddit excuse this one.
Hmmm when was this started in the first place?
Article from April 14, 2021 - This is old news.
"Generally, the government is allowed to acquire privately owned land for public use, otherwise known as eminent domain. Border barriers built under previous administrations have largely gone up in areas where land was federally owned, but extending the wall, as former President Donald Trump pledged to, required taking privately owned land. Under the Trump administration, officials moved at a faster rate to obtain land."
"The Justice Department appeared surprised by the ruling and timing. In February, the Justice Department asked the Texas Southern District Court for a continuance in the Cavazos case, citing Biden's proclamation. Judge Alvarez extended the case into April. "DOJ sought continuances in pending cases, including in this case, in which the government had previously filed motions for possession of land on the southwest border," a Justice Department official said in a statement to CNN. "Immediately before yesterday's court hearing, which had been reset from February 16 to April 13 due to the proclamation, the judge granted the Department's motion for possession that was originally filed in 2020." Customs and Border Protection, in coordination with the US Army Corps of Engineers, suspended wall construction projects "except for activities that are safety related," according to the agency."
AND SO
We are although a tragedy for now... this is the exception to the rule. The right wing likes to use exceptions to the general rule even when the actual problem was caused by Trump.
Something Biden could have stopped, but didn't. So either he is a liar, or just lazy
There is lots of shit that goes on all over the place people can prevent. The story isn't over, but using this exception to prove a rule is just crap.
It's not an exception to the general rule, it is the general rule. Trump and Biden were not the first Republicans and Democrats to take people's property to build a border wall in order to appeal to xenophobic voters. People from both parties like to pretend there is a huge difference between the immigration policies of the last 5 presidents, when that is not the case. All of them, including Biden (from the very beginning) have shown that they neither care about immigrants' lives nor citizens' property.
Something Biden could have stopped, but didn't. So either he is a liar, or just lazy
Either that or readers just don’t understand the law. And headlines like this one try to make sure you never will. “Continuing” a case means putting it on hold, not trying to claim more land. This is a misleading headline meant to fool rubes.
He continued it for 60 days and then took their land when the continuance expired. The headline is not misleading.
Biden hasn't yet fixed everything the Republicans fucked up. He's a failure!
Do you have any idea how stupid that sounds?
No, it's Biden willfully continues to do most of what Trump did. It seems like people are treating politics as if it was a team sport, where the important thing is that my team wins. That's what is truly stupid. If something is bad when Trump does it, it's just as bade when Biden does it and vice versa.
There is absolutely no evidence that Biden is personally seizing private land, so this article is fake news.
From another article that tells the full story...
Trump's DOJ filed for possession. Biden DOJ filed for continuances of pending cases. The judge approved Trump's request anyway.
These people will get their land back, shit just takes time because there were hundreds of cases from Trump's administration.
Now we get back to caring about full stories. Past four yours commondreams, inthesetimes, motherjones..to the top

I don't understand what you mean by "judge approved Trump's request anyway". The Biden administration asked for and received a continence until April 13. Then they presumably kept arguing for taking their property at "yesterday's court hearing" and won.
There is absolutely nothing that would have prevented Biden from dropping this and similar cases instead of seeking continuances, or at any time before they expired. They could also have requested further continuances if they wanted to drag this out even longer.
Here's a lesson for anyone out there. Once you give up powers to the government it's very difficult to get them back. Apparently Trump did a really good job at convincing the courts the government is allowed to steal land. Why would any future president resist that power? Never should have let them have such a power in the first place.
