[Daily Hero tl;dr #29] Omniknight

Omniknight is, to me, the most annoying hero to play against but one of the best heroes to have as your ally.

TL;DR

• Skills - Purification (2/1,3,5,7) Repel (1/2,12,13,14) Degen Aura (4,8,9,10) Guardian Angel (6,11,16)
• Items (lane) - couple clairities, a salve, branches, rush Soul Ring
• Items (early) - Mana Boots, Mek, Force Staff
• Items (later) - Sheepstick, Shiva's, Vlads, Pipe
• Tips - Purification does SO MUCH DAMAGE, Repel to remove debuffs, must Repel THEN Guardian Angel for full effect
• Counters - Diffusal Blade / purge

Sorry for the late one, I'll make it quick. Omniknight is pretty simple to learn and use, I think.

In lane, you can solo or support, either will work. If you're solo, you can harass and take some hits, you can heal it off with Purification. I personally wait until lane to pick my first spell, if you're worried about anything you should probably get Repel first, otherwise Purification might be more aggressive.

Basically your job is to prevent your team from dying. This is done through all of your spells, which is why mana is of utmost importance. Grabbing Soul Ring and Mana Boots is a very common way to keep your (and your teammates') mana up. If you have mana, you can heal or do something of use. Otherwise, stay near because your Degeneration Aura has a powerful passive slow effect that can help chasing or escaping.

When in team fights, stick Repel on your hero of choice (usually your carry if he doesn't have BKB) and then use Guardian Angel after initiation. Purification does pure damage, so if you mana to get anyone caught in that it will do a lot of damage. Being a strength hero you are naturally tanky, so don't worry if you take a few hits. Again, you can always heal it off.

Otherwise that is it. You don't require much farm because you should get enough money off ganks and strong teamfights. Additionally, you don't need to many items to be effective. Just have some mana and mobility and you will be an asset to your team.
