I will see if I can find the time today to go get it from downtown. If I do post it, I'm going to redact names of sexual assault survivors, though.

Edit: I'm on my way to the courthouse right now. My guess is it's going to be several hours from now before this is up on the subreddit, but it will be there. I think the biggest hindrance is going to be that my scanner doesn't do multiple pages automatically, because it's primarily a fine art scanner. So everyone just be patient with me but, the document is on the way.

Same. Anyone want to start a collection to buy as a group lol

Yes, and it has names of victims of sexual assault. There are in fact reasons to not disseminate it far and wide.

It’s a public document available to anyone, not just media.

I’d love to go get it, although I’m wary of sharing it, because I’m not sure of the legalities of sharing a document that has only been provided to and reported on by media only.

Oh my gosh. I can definitely see that being the case. Thank you for trying!!!

So the long and short seems to be that the courts website has made these documents sound easily accessible. They are not.

I am sitting outside the courthouse annex where I've gone to request records before, and they won't even let me in bc of Covid. They said everything has to be done online or over the phone. I've been on hold waiting for someone at the Criminal Court records dept to pick up for 12 minutes.

I'll keep trying, but yeah.

You can request them here: https://www.slo.courts.ca.gov/self-help/criminal-law/criminal-case-information-requests id be happy to split it with you!

Have these been released? I’ll gladly pay for them if someone knows how to get them…

It’s probably going to be about $25, or maybe more.
