While nobody has ever called me a master of it, I do love speed. And all things space related. Some years ago I had a panda dial caliber 3304 but I still always longed for the moon watch. The timeless design and history is just such a draw to me. So, the other day it was finally time for the Omega Speedmaster to make a return to my collection, this time with the moon watch. I did go with the Sapphire Sandwich cuz I’m a sucker for movement porn and the 3861 looks fantastic.
In my opinion, Omega crushed it with this new model. It wears a little smaller and the tapered bracelet is so comfortable. The Master Chronometer specs are impressive so far and it’s peace of mind that it’s effectively impervious to magnets. I do kinda wish it still came with the giant box and all though. Seems that’s reserved for the new 321s. The new little box is still nice, and has a travel box too.
