I was gonna post this (with the original quotes) but kept forgetting. Glad someone finally got around to it.

Yup. Ok Human is, I think, an objectively more impressive album but VW is windows open, full volume, sing-along fun. And that's the stuff that I tend to enjoy the most from Weezer.

Exactly what I did today.

Van Veezer is way more listenable, OK Human is more a whole thing and isn't really meant for singles listening

Idk about you but Aloo Gobi absolutely stands on its own. But yeah the rest of the album works better as a cohesive unit. Aloo Gobi is even better with Grapes of Wrath though.

The first three songs are like singles, as is dead roses and here comes the rain if everything happens for a reason was with it.

I prefer Van Weezer, but that’s because I’m not a big fan of OK human

im finding myself listening to van weezer a lot more than ok human currently. i think ok human is an album that fits more for the winter time. i just dont wanna listen to a 30 minute, introspective album right now. total mood killer

While I think OK Human is among their top albums, Van Weezer is just so fun and replayable. I’ve listened to VW a lot more this year even though I know OKH is objectively better.

OKH is def the better album but VW was still pretty goofy and self-aware at times which I really liked. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the frequent cringe moments scattered throughout the album.

Weezer, the band who can be serious and emotional, but they can also be fun and have fun.

Van Weezer should’ve been better with all the extra time they had; it’s essentially Teal with original lyrics. I love Teal, but I guess we should’ve seen this coming with a title like “Van Weezer”.
