[Daily Hero tl;dr #34] Earthshaker
I dedicate this to my friend heiki.
TL;DR -
- Skills - Fissure (1,3,5,7) Enchant (4,12,13,14) Aftershock (2,8,9,10) Echoslam (6,11,16)
- Items (lane) - branches, regen, rush Soul Ring
- Items (early) - Mana Boots, Blink
- Items (later) - Aghs, Shivas, Refresher
- Tips - gank early, initiate battles, block with Fissures
- Counters - don't allow to farm blink, silences
Laning and early game you are either supporting a lane nicely or roaming. Gank often, you're basically a ranged hero with a super long stun. Initiate ganks with a good Fissure, try to block the enemy's path off while not ruining your own. Soul Ring is very nice if you're not farming well enough to get mana boots, but it's not required. The more mana the better, that is one of your major issues throughout the game.
Continue roaming, ganking, killing things until you get a dagger. Hopefully you'll get one, because once you do you can force team fights. Neither Force Staff or Lothar's (Shadow Blade) even compare to the power of blink! 20-25 minute dagger is the dream: it doesn't need to be rushed, you should get it eventually.
Now for team fights! Blink in, Echoslam, Enchant, Fissure, kill things, die, team wins fights. If that doesn't work then either you did something wrong or your team did something wrong. Regardless, you should be forcing fights, ganking more, and killing towers once you get your dagger. Because when you get dagger, you fix your major issue: lack of mobility. Now you can blink, so take advantage of that.
Remember, only professionals Echoslam first and then blink. You're not as good as them, so I would blink into the fight first and then cast your spell.
