Super pretty Duboisi!
Tropheus Duboisi
Beautiful fish that will look like nothing like this when adult (yea beautiful too, but really different)
Really important point : their diet consists primarily of herbivorous foods. Tropheus can not eat high protein food. They cannot handle high fat or low fiber diets. They get bloat from that kind of diet and die. With any change in Tropheus Diet, ALWAYS TAKE IT EASY at first. Blend in over a two week period if your changing the food.
Ok so the cichlid pellets I have are high protein.. do you have any recommendations for this type of fish?
Veggie flakes or pellets. Whenever you switch around your trophrus food, do so slowly over a couple weeks.
Tropheus Duboisi they lose the spots once they become adults . Tropheus Duboisi
Mine loves brine shrimp and hasn’t had any problems with my cichlid community tank foods
Hmmm. How long have you had yours?
I was getting a little worried because he’s in a tank with different Malawi Africans - so far everything seems fine but I’m concerned as to how I’m going to manage separate and district diets for multiple inhabitants.
I’m gonna need to do more research and better understand their different requirements to see if there’s overlap
I plopped mine in with some Africans, bumblebee cichlids, ornate bichir, and red tails and hes the smallest of all of them but has no problems at all
Coolios duboisi
its a tropheus duboisi
There it is! Thanks for your quick assistance!
