What other Japanese or Western artist would you pick to draw an Alita/Gunnm story?

Not that I think Kishiro should ever step down, but if you could pick any comic/manga artist to take a stab at a Gunnm story, who would you want to see?
My picks would be Hiroaki Samura of Blade of the Immortal for the Japanese artist, and Paul Pope, (THB, Battling Boy, Heavy Liquid) as the American artist.
