So... any data on whether the current vaccines prevent long haul covid? Or just deaths?
I have mcas and long covid and ME/CFS already... I've had concerns about a vaccine reaction bc of these things already, so I just tried to be really careful with masks and stuff and caregivers are all vaccinated. I was assuming that with the vaccine rate going up esp. Where I'm at I wouldn't have to make the choice of which is worse, the mcas reaction to the vaccine, or getting covid. But now with delta I do need to make that choice.
So , I'm not worried in the least about dying, but getting worsened long covid is my worst concern. Wondering to what extent the vaccines protect against that outcome especially with delta variant.
Also wondering which vaccine migh4 be best for ppl with mcas or long covid. I dont have documentation of infection unfortunately bc I got sick w covid early in the pandemic, so I wouldn't feel safe skipping second dose of one of the mrna ones like docs are saying u can do if you've been infected with covid.
My sister has mcas but is less sick than me but got scarily sick from the vaxx... I think it was moderna?? It wasnt just like regular flu she was full on bedridden and shit plus mood issues
