A lot of times they are on the course and probably just to be respectful. Last week I saw someone turn around on the tee box and ask one of the media personnel to turn his headphones down or walk further away cause he could hear the announcer's through the headphones 🤷

That's part of the reason I like golf. I hate how they never shut up during other sports. I can see that Michael Jordan spiked the football into the goal past Messi. You don't have to scream it in my ear

What? Golf announcers never shut the fuck up! It would be much nicer hearing the guys talk and the occasional fuck, but instead the best we have is what the Open did: show only a couple of conversations as highlights, and they didn't even show the shot they were talking about.
