WS-MCR
Do I buy one? I know I want one but I dislike buying things sight unseen. Tell me it's awesome and that I won't regret buying it before touching it.

Yes just buy one, it's the best quality affordable black rifle we have in offer right now. Lots of after market support on the market as well to keep you busy for years.
I love mine, pretty reliable, takes most Ar15 parts. Spectre just released a new lower to make it look more sexy. They definitely worked out most of all the kinks now so it's a pretty sweet gat
Hi,
I bought the WS MCR and I don't have any complaints. I find the ergonomics work for me I haven't thought that I need a different angle grip on the bottom but this is my first venture into the 180 platform.
No issues to report with almost 100 rounds put through with Frontier 55gr 5.56 and Herters 223 Bulk.
I took mine apart initially just to make sure everything I could check was tight and it seems well put together.
It's awesome, you won't regret buying it. Great for range practice and hunting if not a smidge heavy.
Heavy? My 300wm is definitely heavier. The aluminum gets real cold in the winter though vs a synthetic or wood stock
Ok, heavy for the small calibre that it is.
A 300wm and a 223 are apples and oranges dude
Caliber doesn't change weight much.. but a barrel chambered in 300 and a .30 Cal bolt on the wk and it' weigh about the same. My point was its not heavier than your average level hunting rifle (my 300 being a savage). But compared to my 308 which is a Tikka Superlite, ya it's heavy .
thoughts on the likelihood of this be added to the prohibited list? I'm also on the fence but I also don't need a $1500 paper weight.
Had me looking at the spectre lpc but it's a sad alternative
No one knows. I’m under the assumption that any day a notice could be made. In my opinion the only safe option other than a semi .22 is an sks. I’ll still pick up an SL8 when they come back in stock though!
Nah. The M1 Garand will also stay on the safe list.
True, it survived even with 8 rnds. Most ain't cheap though. SVT also a possibility but I wouldn't be as sure
Yea I have a feeling most of the battle rifles will remain safe.
If you don't buy it because you're scared it might get banned, congrats. That's what the LPC wanted.
If there is a high profile shooting the chances are very high that it'll go prohibited.
If there is a high profile shooting
There is a chance a different will be prohibited. AR-15 was used in very few crimes in Canada yet was at the top of the list.
True, although the WK180s are probably the gun most similar to the AR platform that are still NR. So next on the hit list so to speak.
Naw, not popular enough.
I think it will be Glock.
Cheaply made
Buy something else
Any reason why?
Didn’t tighten my gas block bolt and shot it, the piston rod, and the spring out the front. Managed to recover the spring and the piston (bent) by the bolt is gone. Only option for parts is the parts kit for 500+ or send the gun back for warranty which could take “6-10 weeks turnaround”. Something to consider.
As soon as someone starts offering complete rifles with that spec180 lower I'm gonna have a pretty big hard on for an MCR.

Why what's the sauce with the new lower? All I've seen is it's a whole 1/4 pound lighter?
Looks far more ergonomic (not designed to look like a 2x4), and has the ability to use standard length trigger pins and beaver tail grips. I am considering the lynx 180 lower from spectre ballistics here in Edmonton (not to be confused with spectre manufacturing who makes the mor), if I get out and put enough rounds through the factory lower and determine if it is worth it.
The standard trigger pins would be nice.. I don't mind the looks of mine otherwise. My WK is the magpul edition and it's actually blue, unfortunately a black lower might look funny 🤔
Its way more AR like and allows the use of beavertail grips.
