Is the derivation path `m/44'/0'/0'` different than `m/44'`?

I have a question about the derivation path. Is the path m/44'/0'/0' is different than the path m/44'? Or the same?

I am not still quite understanding the concept of the derivation path...Sorry for the noob question!

m/44' on itself just appears incomplete to me. You are not specifying the coin type, nor the account.

Here's a good explanation with some useful diagrams: https://learnmeabitcoin.com/technical/derivation-paths

You can also edit the derivation path and see the effect in action.

yeah it's different

just take a look into BIP32, "The key tree"

The most common derivation paths used are:

BIP 44: m/44'/0'/0' (for 1addresses)

BIP 49: m/49'/0'/0' (for 3addresses)

BIP 84: m/84'/0'/0' (for bc1addresses)

Is the address 1558 Philadelphia Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah, 4111, USA" different than "1558 Philadelphia Avenue"?

You have it backwards.

m/44' is like Earth, USA.

m/44'/0'/0' is like Earth, USA, Utah, Salt Lake City.

An individual address would be like m/44'/0'/0'/420, which is like Earth, USA, Utah, Salt Lake City, 3981 Wasatch Blvd.
