Reddit, why is my kitten clawing at our eyes?

Hey Guys,

We have a gorgeous little Tabby/Ragdoll who is about 10 weeks. Whenever we are sitting on the couch, or laying in bed, and she is in a playful mood, she will stare intently at our eyes for a bit, and then take a swat at our eyes. So far we have been lucky and she hasn't been able to make contact, but this is obviously not a behavior we would like to encourage.

Have read elsewhere that eye contact can initiate some sort of challenge reaction, but sometimes even when we arent looking at her she will just go for the eyes..

Get a spray bottle, fill it with water, squirt her whenever she tries to do this. Have a couple around the house, so you can easily grab one.

Not sure why she's trying to attack your eyes, but this should fix it.
