English is my 2nd language. I thought crabbing was walking side ways until a few weeks ago. That was not useful but I hope you enjoy crabbing with your son.

Cramond beach, you would need to time the tides thought. Hundreds of rock pools in back of island. Good  chance of getting a lobster too. There are a few pipes on the way out to island too but you will struggle to get on them.

We did it at south queens ferry and mission success crab caught on the second drop

I've seen people doing it at the harbour in South Queensferry but it's a bit out of the way and you would probably want to make a day off it. You could try Musselburgh harbour but I don't think it would be as succesful there.

Know plenty folk that caught crabs in dalkieth...

I've had no luck in Dalkeith myself. Not sure why not...

Can anyone recommend a good place to go crabbing preferably where we can use my sons new crab drop net. We will be heading over from Glasgow today towards Dalkeith so preferably not too far out of this route. Thanks in advance
