When to buy a 2022 annual pass
I’m considering buying 2022 annual passes for Universal. When do they usually go up for sale? Are there usually any deals, perhaps if you buy in November, you get December included as well as all of 2022, etc. ? Thanks!

you buy an annual pass. It activates on use and expires 1 year from the first use.
Ah! I see. We have only ever had Cedar Fair annual passes, so I didn’t realize how it works.
If I buy the pass, it doesn’t activate until first use. Do you know if I will get the hotel savings if I have purchased the pass but not activated it yet?
They don't ask you for your pass # when you book, you just have to have it on hand when you check in (or possibly even just before you check out, but I haven't tried this.)
Unless they changed it recently yes you can. I did the same thing a while ago.
This also doesn't apply if you choose to pay off your pass over time. If you use the monthly payments, it's active as of the date of purchase!
No, that is inaccurate. No mater how you pay, pass is not active until first use. You do not have a pass/pass number/barcode untill you pick it up, so it could not start date if purchase
yep. i took advantage of the 3 months free back in march and messaged universal on facebook to assure it wouldn’t start until first use of the pass, even though i’d be paying monthly, and that was confirmed by them. it doesn’t begin until you activate it
You can purchase notes with annual pass discounts at anytime. But you have to provide proof when you get there. The concierge can give you your AP before check in .
