Just bought a Sony X900H 85" - $1850 Best Buy Open Box Excellent - Was it a smart move?

So I've been poking around for a 85" Sony X900H and one popped up in my area at Best Buy - It's Open Box Excellent and costs $1850.

I got the 5 year Geek Squad protection so with tax it came out to around $2400.

Smart move? X950H and OLEDs are out of my price range. X91J seems like basically the same as the X900H with better gaming support (but I don't game).

Was the Geek Squad a waste or smart insurance on an open box?
