[Daily Hero tl;dr #44] Enchantress
Spoink! Sorry for no write up yesterday, my Thursday just lasts too long and I couldn't think straight once I got home.
TL;DR
- Skills - Untouchable (10,12,13,14) Enchant (1,4,5,7) Wisps (2,3,8,9) Impetus (6,11,16)
- Items (lane/jungle) - RoB, branches, regen
- Items (early) - Treads, Aghs
- Items (later) - Force Staff, Sheepstick, Shiva's
- Tips - abuse orbwalking, gank / push early similar to Chen
- Counters - burst damage, silences
There's two major ways to play Enchantress, they're slightly different in the early game but as time progresses it's all the same. So you have the laning Enchantress and the Jungle enchantress. I wrote the skill build for the ganking/jungle Enchantress - if you are in lane you might want to grab a level of Untouchable early for some defense.
Early game: grab a good creep or two (Centaur or Troll for ganking, Wildkin for pushing), gank the lane, push the tower down. Rinse and repeat. Neutral creeps are VERY STRONG in the early game, and with a decent player in lane you can pick up a tower quickly and easily.
As you transition into the mid game, you become less reliant on neutral creeps and more reliant on your slow, heal, and damage. Your ultimate does PURE DAMAGE, meaning it is not reduced by ANYTHING (except complete spell immunity). Your goal is to stay as far away from the fight as possible while still being able to attack.
During fights, try your best to not have your orb on autocast. Having it on autocast gives you a much longer attack animation and you will not be able to control your hero nearly as well. Your ultimate does damage based on distance, so if you're running around like a moron, you will probably not do much damage. Try to keep control, move backward after each attack (unless you are chasing), and do the most damage. The distance is calculated at the time the projectile hits, so you can force staff the hero away after your attack goes off and it will do more damage.
To explain my items, Aghs is the new staple. It gives you a total of 725 range, I think. It's over 700 at least. Some people might argue Mana Boots, which is a possibility, but I personally like the attack speed and the +8 strength. Force Staff is a good situational item, and then you have all your late game intelligence items afterward.
