How do you get laid when you’re decent looking but unemployed?

Conversation

I’m fit, have had good paying jobs but right now feeling utterly pathetic bc I don’t know what I am doing, my last relationship wrecked me and I’m struggling to pull myself back up. How do I get laid if I don’t like myself?

I would focus on finding some employment as soon as possible. That seems to me like it should be your biggest priority right now. Good luck to you

I’m not sure what work I would do now. I don’t want to settle but at the same time I’m getting a bit desperate.

I’m in a similar boat as you. Really think critically about what it is you are willing to tolerate and then swallow your pride and give it your all. Also make sure to get enough sleep to make the days at work easier.

Yeah I’m considering getting 3 jobs since I don’t feel I’ve hustled nearly as much as others have

Don’t really need multiple jobs that’ll just burn you out better to stick with one full time do it well and save the money

Honestly, while sex and hook ups are fun and all, it sounds like you need to focus more on your well-being and employment status. You’ll only get the easiest of the easiest girls, if that.

Sex is also a confidence booster. I think that would help me a lot, but I do understand the priority is finding a job. I just don’t get how the crackhead or beggar outside my building can have a girlfriend. Why do I hold myself to such high standards if even a deadbeat can do better than me.

Bruh, the quality of someone else’s “relationship”, be it crackhead or beggar, isn’t something you should be concerned or even comparing yourself with. Your path in life is different. And there’s nothing wrong with having high expectations, in life or in relationships. You just have to decide what you can comfortably sacrifice in the meantime, if that’s what you decide to do.

My personal maintenance is my confidence booster. But I’m a borderline workaholic and am my own worst critic. I’ve learned that I manifest my own success by focusing on myself. People will be drawn to you if you have some sense of direction.

Be a sugar baby, a student (adult...), or so hot no one cares.

Or ONS. One night only. No need to be a catch, per nitpicky standards! Be there, be polite, get it done, and go.

If you’re actually good looking: dating apps

I tried dating apps. I match but the convos go nowhere or the girls flake out last minute.

Meet up with your friends, family, or find a counselor. Getting an employment would make you feel less imposter-like, and trust me, women notice your imposter syndrome in a second. That will make you unattractive not just in their eyes but in your own eyes as well.

I understand your sexual frustration. Unless you meet some mature women who can see your potential; but, that onus is too heavy, don't expect anything.

1

That’s the main issue. Imposter syndrome gets in the way of everything

True that. Plus, do your see yourself as a perfectionist? Is it either all or nothing for you, when it comes to results?

2
NeednAliasOP•

Definitely. Gotta learn my lesson this time and get rid of the things that don’t serve me well

Not when unemployment and your environment makes you feel inadequate

Precisely. I don’t understand why people think looks are the only thing that ever matters. We are more than just out physical appearance and your status can and will affect your attractiveness. Non issue my foot
