Scrambled eggs are just eggs, a little milk, salt, and pepper fried until they are done with no regard to form or appearance. An omelet is folded and neater and has at least one other ingredient in it like cheese, ham, mushroom, etc. If you cook eggs like an omelet but don't add anything to it then that's a folded egg.

lets not forget if you cook eggs in omelet shape and don't add anything to it. Is an early warning sign of a serial killer.

if you're making a breakfast sandwich many people prefer a folded egg over a fried egg because it's less messy

yeah but that's for a sandwich so more is being added to it.

You mix around scrabbled eggs while they’re cooking so they separate and get fluffier, an omelette you just leave alone until it’s time to flip, also the obvious, omelettes are filled with different things whereas scrambled eggs are just the eggs.

Yeah omelete is just egg pancake

Scrambled eggs are whisked in the pan, omelets are folded.

I guess scrambled eggs include milk (or cream) and are broken into little pieces, whereas omelettes are cooked whole, like a pancake, have ingredients added on top, might be grilled to cook the other ingredients, and are then flipped onto a plate, usually folded over into two.

Scrambled eggs > omelets

Omelettes can be an entire meal in and of themselves, scrambled eggs aren't.
