Problems with Depop and Paypal refunds.
Hello everyone -
Recently I had a buyer buy an item of mine, but due to a mistake in the listing (where it said that seller would pay for shipping, and not the buyer), I had to refund them. Since they paid with paypal I had to run the refund through that, but ran into a problem – since the depop fee ($24 with the $9 fee and $15 dollar shipping fee) had been charged from my paypal after the money the buyer sent had been deposited, there was $24 missing from my balance, thus not matching the refund amount.
Paypal rules state that in case of an insufficient balance to issue a refund through paypal, (since I only had a total balance online of the payment minus the depop fee) the seller's bank account would be charged instead of any balance – so low and behold I am out about $24 dollars, since the total amount of the refund was taken directly from my bank (and not at all from my online balance). The seller has been officially refunded but depop has not refunded me of the extra $24 taken from my bank account by Paypal to cover the refund. For some reason, even though the listing was officially refunded (as shown on the app as well!) depop has never issued their own refund of the $24 fee they took from my PayPal separately from the buyer's deposit.
Is there anything I can do? This may not seem like much but I am severely tight for money rn and kinda pissed off.

Did you contact depop support to ask for the fee and shipping to be refunded? It’s not going to happen automatically.
