When I joined this subreddit I thought it was calling out some of the more egregious hard left tankie takes you saw on here & elsewhere - I didn’t realise it was in fact mostly low IQ American gamers screeching at anything with “communist” in the title in some kind of internet Mccarthyist red scare.
- Just because the content of a video discusses/educates on socialism/Marxism/communism, does not necessarily mean it’s “communist propaganda”.
- One of the most important aspects of a healthy, functioning liberal democracy is education - there is literally nothing wrong with teaching kids about what communism is & letting them make their minds up about it. Kids learning about communism isn’t churning out tankies - alienation & disillusionment with capitalism is.
A huge part of freedom is allowing people to make up their own minds - the downside is that some people are going to use that freedom to stan Kim Jong Un. The idea that kids shouldn’t learn about communism is every bit as repulsive and cringe as the idea that they shouldn’t learn about evolution. Downvote me if you can’t wrap your head around this.

This video is oriented towards kids. Kids should simply not be brought into politics at such a young age, as their critical thinking isn't developed yet and portraying politics to kids too early can engrain it's ideas into their minds long-term. Kids aren't developed enough to make their own minds, they follow and repeat other people's opinions. I get where you're coming from, but if a political video needs sparkly stars and badly drawn kids characters to attract it's audience, it shouldn't be political.

Sorry mate but you sound like one of those Karens who argues that video games cause kids to be violent.
I remember growing up in the late 90s/2000s & my generation being exposed to all kinds pro-western & pro free market messaging that, by the definitions we seem to be using here, could easily be described as “propaganda” - & yet people in my cohort are flocking to authoritarian leftism in the droves - why? I was taught at a deeply religious church school & now I am an atheist - why? Most of the kids on r/GenZedong would probably have been taught from a young age that communism = bad - so why are they now Stalin apologists?
Because political and religious views are highly fluid & it’s just as easy to destroy & rebuild a worldview in a teenager as it is to “ingrain“ one in a 7 year old. YouTube videos explaining communism isn’t going to churn out Marxists - kids being unable to afford the same standards of living as their parents certainly is though.
