Gmerica: What If? Questions about a hypothetical scenario.
What if Gamestop chose to give Gmerica stock to current GME holders by matching GME 1:1 or any other ratio?
Or Instead of doing an IPO, it recalls GME and replaces it with Gmerica stock?
How do either of these scenarios affect the counterfeit shares and those who hold them?
Would a stock swap -Gmerica for GME -prevent MOASS?
Any other thoughts on Gmerica stock being directly connected to GME?
Edit: How about a parallel offering. Gmerica does not ever do a stock offering. It does a private NFT offering. "You own GME you get [X] NFT." Anytime GME is traded, the NFT follows. NFT is limited to actual GME share count. Can this happen?
Edit2: I guess I am putting the cart before the horse here. So Gmerica is registered as a trademark. When I saw all the "Gmerica" postings, I started envisioning it as Gamestop's first step in creating an overarching company. Someone posted a "what if" that basically said Gmerica could end up like Google's ABC.
I often forget apes aren't mindreaders. I posted this and left out my basis for posting. My apologies.
So, apes, what if Gmerica is transformed from trademark to holding company that utilizes a privately-issued NFT limited to only the non-counterfeit shares of GME? What chaos would this bring on the world?
Edit3: My meandering thoughts also considered Gamestop spinning the NFT tech into its own independent entity. Gmerica would be suitable for NFT branding exclusively. This also would have potential for Gamestop to use the occasion for harming shorters.
