Audible CarPlay Issues?

Is anyone having issues with IOS CarPlay? I swear the audible app is beyond garbage with my car. 90% of the time when it starts it goes 3 seconds then skips ahead in the story 5 seconds, plays again and skips 5 seconds til I pause it. To fix it I have to launch / close audible a few times. This includes if I turn off my car and leave my phone in the car, when I start the car it does it again.

Newest iOS/App and it’s been going on for months. If I disconnect it from the car and put in an AirPod it does it again too so I have to open and close a few times again. It gets old really fast.
