Should I just give up on Vma and stick to normal

I keep dying in the final battle with the giant in ice stage of Vma. I've died more than 40 times already in the final round alone.I did get close to 15% of her health once but died. Are the other stages just as hard?. Is vma not for me, should I just give up and do normal since the events going on( normal is a breeze). I followed as much as possible as the alcast guide told me to. But I'm restricted to where I should stand while maintaining the giant from dealing damage and dealing with adds I also got to deal with the troll who runs to other platforms too, many times the adds kill me while I'm focusing on the troll or the giant one shots me. I'm running medusa plus mother's sorrow with ma lightning on bachbar, golded out weapon and some Armor prices too and I have 1004 champion points. I'm running a magsorc, the guides on YouTube make it look so simple am I doing something wrong?.
