First print and its problems

Discussion

I'm new here and have seen many youtube vids in the past few days, but stumbled on some problems on my first print on my Ender 3 v2 and am not so sure what I could do to improve.

First print ever

First, my print stopped somewhere at the top creating a mess of it (see above), there are 4 reasons I could think of.

1# The filament is too hot and when it moves over the open space it left a drip and then dragged the nozzle through it, however seeing how the bottom worked out fine I find this unlikely.

2# I used 2 hours to get a first layer to stick to the bed, after purging some filament from the nozzle because I read a partial clog could be the cause, only after that it for the first time held, however, I guess if the binding was still slightly weak and with the small footprint it could have been pulled off, but it could also be secondary after already going haywire.

3# After checking on the print after an hour, I could hear a popping sound from the nozzle at a 20-second interval or so, not sure what it is or how I can prevent it. I guess this could cause a blob to be ejected from the nozzle when it travels in empty air if unlucky.

4# Print speed to high, after laying down the first layer with 25mm/s I upped the speed to 75 maybe it's too high for my printer building those arcs.

From up close where it went wrong

A strange scare on the side, the opposite side is near perfect. Not sure what it is.

Not sure if it should be smooth or if the jagged/toothy border is normal?

On the back, you can see some lettering but difficult to make out. Also, the pipe does not appear to be correct at the top, anything I can do to improve it.

Any help would be appreciated.
