AteRX Mining Pool - Now with weekly maintenance!

We're on the hunt for new miners. Come join us at https://pool.aterx.com

We have recently instituted a weekly reboot policy due to issues encountered last week. More info on that is available in our discord. Today's maint was from 11:00pm to 11:02pm ET.

Recent new features include; per miner hash rate statistics in the UI; potential mining reward value so you can gauge what your payout might be if we hit a block.

The potential mining reward value is no guarantee of earnings but just a simple if we split a block reward now this uses 95% of the value of the last block reward to calculate. For maximum value you need to have been mining for the entire PPLNS window.

Good pool with a good community. It's been growing steadily as of late and hope more people join so we can all get those blocks

Why would you advertise "now with weekly maintenance!" as if it's a good thing? You're basically saying "we can't keep our servers running reliably so there will be regular downtime". That's a bad thing.

I would rather go to a pool that can keep their servers running reliably and doesn't have to shut them down every single week.

The weekly maintenance covers backups, OS restarts and updates. Any updates to monerod or monero-pool that have come available. These are tested and ran on a stage server before hand as well. One day in the future we'll have full redundancy. The downtime incurred by this is very minimal. We're still there 99.9998015873% of the time.

If you wish to donate to the cause I'll setup full redundancy though; but am currently at my own funding limits.

There are multiple pools that exist but most of the owners are unknown and they seem to to be unmaintained for the looks of it. At least aterx.com actually has someone maintaining it, even if it is by restarting service every x days.

Last maintenance was a couple of minutes. Rather have that then everything go down randomly which ends up being a lot longer or have degraded service. I have reboots scheduled at the same time. Dieth is very active and that's very good.

Nice work, but us pool operators should really begin to look towards P2Pool. XMRvsBEAST has already made the first step here, and we'll be following suite in the near future as well.

I see p2pool as a nice alternative choice to miners as their pool choice.

I still also believe original pool services can continue to mine and participate in decentralization.
