Contextual add button with default behavior?
I am wondering if it's possible to configure the add button to behave differently depending on the current playlist / view. If not, I'm hoping it's something you'll consider.
I have a "New Music" playlist that I want to add anything new to. Most of this comes from MusicHarbor, but some of it comes from when I start listening to music with "Hey Siri, listen to...". So what I'd like is to configure Marvis to add things to my "New Music" playlist by default. I know I can change the add button to prompt which playlist to choose, but there doesn't seem to be a way to set a default playlist to add to.
Then I want the add button to behave differently when I'm listening to the "New Music" playlist. I have a few different home views set up for this (genres, albums, tracks). So ideally when I'm listening to "New Music" playlist, the add button would add the current track to my library. It would be fine if I could set this up on a per-view basis though, but at least for my case it would be even better if I could set that behavior at the playlist level.
I don't think Marvis can do this right now, so I think it's a feature request that boils down to two new features:
- Select a default playlist for the add button
- Have contextual add buttons, so the add button can behave differently per playlist / view, overriding the global default.
So in my case I would configure:
- Global add button - add to "New Music" playlist
- "New music" playlist (or potentially per-view) add button - add to library.
Thanks for considering :)
