An odd headset issue.

Open | Audio

Hi, I've been having issues with my headset recently. I'm using a pair of Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon 50 that I've had for 3 years. I'm on a windows 10 computer and I use realtek audio adapters. For my computer, I need to use an audio splitter to use both my headphones and the microphone on my headset. A couple days ago, whenever I plug in the microphone plug of my audio splitter into my computer, it starts cutting my right headphone on and off so I started using my USB microphone until I get a replacement audio splitter.

Last night, audio on my headset started messing up. Voice only comes out on the left and the right only plays music but not very reverberated. I tried a lot of things but the only thing that seems to work is plugging in my headphones into my audio splitter and only plugging in the headphone plug of the audio splitter. Is there a fix or an explanation for this? My headset works on other computers and other headphones work on my computer. Why is it only when my headphones are plugged into my computer does it start breaking? I've tried turning on and off my computer, updating my audio adapters, and disabling and re-enabling my audio adapters.
