Annoying BSOD & sleep problems with what I'm assuming is WiFi started overnight - happens on BIOS 407 and 409 - on latest drivers

model details

Basically, out of nowhere, with no WiFi connection changes or setting changes - the laptop no longer sleeps. It just doesn't sleep on any mode or any setting.

Before, unplugging the charger was all I needed. It would sleep. Sometimes the darn CPU light comes on WHILE the power light is blinking like its asleep, which is just annoying, but it slept.

Now it NEVER sleeps unless I put airplane mode on, Silent mode, unplug charger.

As well as that, if I try to shut down without doing the above, it will show the Shutting Down screen for 7 full minutes before BSOD with DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.

EDIT: Just tried it again with airplane mode on and it does the same shit now. So it only worked one time and that was immediately after i updated the bios...

Has anyone else had these issues? How can I even diagnose a wakelock? I used BlueScreenView and it just points to ntoskrnl.exe not any specific driver so idk what is up there.

I had never updated any drivers, windows, or BIOS, since my laptop was working just fine for months. This literally started overnight. Theres no WPS, auto discovery, smart devices in my Home. Bluetooth is OFF.

I checked and nothing auto updated itself overnight, so idk...

I tried updating everything i could anyway, and it did nothing but reset all my BIOS settings...

gonna try turning on this https://old.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG15/comments/okojvk/found_a_100_way_to_enter_sleep/h5lon4h/ Asus ErP (advanced power management) on bios 409 and see if it helps with my power issues.

Why are ASUS's drivers such dogshit? It's been half a year since this thing came out. Last time i had sleep issues i had to email 4 times - the 3rd time they sent me a shitty PDF with instructions on how to reinstall that looked like it came out of a fucking tech support scam center. Then they said they escalated it. Since then there have been like 4 BIOS updates - all of them have done fuck all

please dont downvote, excuse my language, but i feel my frustration is justified. we need a fix for this
