Will Season 2 end up being a Train Wreck like Season 1?

Where's "Season One wasn't a train wreck."
I wouldn't call S1 a train wreck, but I admit that I am less enthusiastic about S2 than I was for S1.
Well it certainly starts like one. In 'testing humanity', Q challenges the USB backup robot of Picard to solve another one of his puzzles. I'm not entirely sure Q would look twice at a robot clone of Picard.
Also, how I'm meant to be emotionally invested in a character they've literally just ctrl+c ctrl+v'd after 'killing him off' is beyond me.
If you wanted to be generous, you could argue that Q's acceptance of Jean-Luc-Bot indicates that he actually is a transfer, not just a copy. Hell, if the show had good writers, they could even have Q say something to that effect.
...that said, I totally agree. The ham-fisted writing and terrible high-level plot on Picard S01 made it very difficult to be excited or even interested in S01.
I just don't wanna see any more copypaste Federation fleets again. Probably the most glaring issue from S1.
They had to be mass holograms and it was all a massive bluff.
I enjoyed season 1 even though yes it was a bit of a mess at times I think season 2 won't be so messy because now they have their footing...I hope. I am looking forward to the Red Letter Media shit fests though
Quite the loaded question. Can we have an option if we liked season 1?
I should have added that in. I just thought it was widely accepted season 1 went off the rails
Not that I know of. I'd guess it's the paradox of defining a collective opinion when the only opinions offered are the negative ones.
I liked it. I had nothing really to say about it though so I didn't write anything down.
I thought it was a bit of a mess. Started well enough but it was a mish mash of unresolved or underwhelming plot points. Season 2 does not fill me with hope from the trailer
I would agree they bottled it at the end, it is a trend for the Kurtzman era where they have to have each series as an isolated event and not spill over into the next one.
I guess it's the curse of modern tv where cliffhanger endings are always a risk as you just don't know if you'll get another season.
Season 1 was amazing. What are you talking about?
