No "barn door" symptoms, so no laproscopy.
I've been through the usual is it IBS, is it Endo situation. Fighting for the GP to take either further. Finally got sent for an ultrasound, for them to find no sign of endo, just my IUD in the wrong place.
So, my GP referred me to gyne, suggested waiting til the gyne appointment to change the IUD because the initial trauma of trying to get it inserted included a GP failing to do so, and a gyne doing it okay with lots of gel to numb everywhere. She said gyne would be able to do it under anaesthesia, especially if they do a lap, to save me the trauma.
Fast track to my appointment, the gyne shut down the anaesthesia idea saying that was too extreme, and didn't use any gel so best believe I felt everything. She examined me, and said because there wasn't any "barn door" symptoms, there wasn't any point in doing a lap as there's only about 50% of them that actually find anything. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm convinced this statistic is absolute bull.)
Left with a follow up appointment in 6 months, and told to just wait till the new mirena does its thing. Have been curled around a heated beanie for the last week cursing her. I can hardly stand for too long, which really isn't ideal for work. The more I stand or walk, the more severe the cramps (back, pelvis, back of legs, down to feet), and the heavier I bleed. I don't know where to go from here. I wish people would take us seriously. I wish I could just live without agony. I want my fuckin sex drive back, Christ.
