I was under the impression that it is still a copyright infringement.

If you have Disney plus you can show it in class. The streaming version on Disney plus would be considered a legitimate copy and is included in the Face to Face Teaching Exemption.

I would love to use the musical Hamilton to add to my teachings on the American Revolution for my 11th grade U.S History course. Has anyone done this? If so, how did you do it? Obviously textual/lyrical analysis of the lyrics will be great, but how can I also show parts of the musical in class since Disney keeps things pretty tight on these type of things?
