Tough refund situation.
Hi everyone! I'd really appreciate some advice on a recent item dispute.
I sold an item of clothing on depop recently (buyer used paypal), and when the buyer received the item they proceeded to message me saying the item didn't fit. First they seemed to try and imply that I had lied about the sizing (I did not, I told them to check the tag and they clarified that I was right and the item was sized correctly). Then they asked if they could return the item for a refund even though it's against my store policy of no returns/refunds unless previously discussed before the purchase.
The reason behind this is that I literally (a week ago) just moved out of the US for at least a year and no longer have my own physical address state-side to receive returns for items I sold prior to my move – therefore I am not accepting them.
Should I tell the buyer to relist the item and to sell it themselves? I just can't receive the item physically and since the purchase is through paypal I am concerned about the buyer opening up a claim anyway even though they just decided they didn't want the item anymore.

Screenshot this to show PayPal when / if they open a dispute lol.
You can definitely suggest they just repop it 😊 PayPal won't side with them over a return due to them just changing their mind.. only if it's significantly not as described.
