Tifu by almost dying

So I wake up this morning to a call from my boss who is upset and claiming that I'm supposed to be working today, whilst I don't remember having a shift a quickly get up and start heading to work on my electric scooter. I'm going a little faster than usual due to circumstance, however I'm a very capable rider as I have been doing so for nearly 2 years with 0 crashes.

There's a poorly designed part of a main road that I have to cross on my journey, this road is an offramp into local traffic and the way it's designed means it leaves zero time for pedestrians crossing to see a car barreling down at 60kmph. Now on my near year if taking this way to work o had never seen a car come down here so despite my road awareness and sensibility, I decided to take liberty on this one street...

As I decend off the little ramp a bus slams into me and my electric scooter, it hit my right elbow so the handle bars turned left and the scooter slid to the side, and in the probably just a few seconds that felt like a lifetime I get almost stuck to the bus as he turns in the pull over and when I eventually hot the ground about 30 metres away from my scooter I see his rear wheels heading for my feet and I somehow in act of God himself move my feet out of the way to he only ran over the steel part of my boots.

I stand up in the gutter stumbling to my feet, the driver hops out of his bus and starts hurling abuse at me and then promptly drives off. As I'm still stumbling to get my scooter off the road (which ended up being completely fine) I start having a panic attack and try to process what happened. I then went to hospital after I rode home and got checked out and 5 hours later I was discharged with only some minor sprains and strains and little dent in my pride.

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY WEAR A FULL FACE HELMET AND GLOVES AT LEAST WHEN RIDING REGULARLY ON EITHER A BIKE OR A SCOOTER. It's the only thing that save my life so please, I urge you to always wear a helmet.

TL;DR boss mad, rushing to work, doesn't take as much caution as usual on electric scooter, gets hit by bus and narrowly escapes death.
