how do you guys make defense fun on all madden?

QUESTION

when im playing on all madden against any decent QB they pretty much complete passes at will regardless of pressure and often good coverage. it feels like 80% of plays im just a spectator as they throw bullets between my LBs for a few yards at a time. lower difficulties are way too easy for me, especially on offense, but playing defense on all madden is legitimately boring

I find the CPU likes to self correct itself for success. When auto-flip is on the CPU kinda ignores what hash mark the defense is standing on and leaves unexpected gaps in field coverage.

This allows you to position your players how you want without zones being shifted away from where you want or expect it to be. In Man defense it can help with matchups and watching out for LB's on TE's and RB's.

Some of this is personal preference but auto-flip constantly sets my guys up for failure. They added it some games ago and I've never liked it.

I have games where I’ll have 4 interceptions against the cpu and they will only have 5 or 6 incompletions. It’s really obnoxious

Through about 30 games of trial and error I tweaked the sliders for all madden to make it a much more realistic experience. Offense gets way tougher because that’s already too easy, but it scaled back the cpu offense into a more realism based experience. If you want the sliders let me know.
