For those that are worried, the pink spot is just from the camera. I moved him outside to terrorise the neighbours.
The photo doesn't really do it justice, it's much larger then a Daddy long legs.

It's a daddy long legs, no matter what you think. They are the best guests a house can ever have. Every single corner of my house is occupied by them, and I'm extremely careful when I vacuum that none get sucked up the hose. They're my pets. Treat this one well, or there's a special place in hell for you.

The best part is when you bump them. They have an inbuilt defence reflex, in which they oscillate wildly in a tight circle!

We used to tickle them as kids, just to watch them dance!

Hmm perhaps. This one is just much larger and had a different body type to what I normally see. I suppose it is a bit of a catch all term though.
