Ashamed to say I can’t resist starting to catch up emails Sunday night
But why does outlook still show the time I wrote it IN THE EMAIL and not the time it was sent?
I sleep better sometimes when I check in with the bullshit on Sunday. Wish this were not true.
damn it, brad.
Why are people getting offended by someone working over the weekend? A lot of people have to actually work during the weekend to get shit done and they don't need to spare your insecurities by delaying those emails.
It should be as simple as, work the weekend if you want/need to, as long as you aren't forcing it on others and making them live your workaholic lifestyle.
Unfortunately, like many issues, people feel the need to take a "side". So people either look down on those who don't work the weekend, or complain about those who do. I'm not a workaholic, but my stance on this has always been "let the workaholics be workaholics if they want to be", and let the rest of us work as is needed.
That said, regarding the cartoon, I do know a lot of people who I'm pretty sure have made it a point to send emails at odd hours, just to show everyone how hard of a worker they are. Those people are weird/crazy.
Could be that they have a micromanager. If they came in late and want the boss to see that they made it up so they don't get chewed out. I never give a rip if my coworkers see when I'm doing anything but I've had a bad boss in the past so I understand the motivation.
On one hand people will say it contributes to the expectation that people should be working on weekends (usually it's more about working on vacation though), and on the other hand there's your argument where you can do whatever the fuck you want. I'll send emails at 2am Sunday if I want, fuck em.
Personally I don't care either way, but mostly, fuck the people who stay at the client late for appearance purposes (while secretly browsing espn and literally doing nothing) when managers/partners are at the client.

Gotta be honest, I’m siding with Brad on this one.

There was a coworker who was slacking in the office but always used to send emails to everyone at late nights or weekends. This person was super happy when some managers replied "Oh, you are up at this hour doing bla, bla!!""
Pls how can i schedule the e-mails on ms Teams ? I used to do this only on Google meet
just schedule meetings to send during the weekend, thereby making it seem as if you were working
