Problem with turning on my pc

Ive been having this problem recently where sometimes my pc turns on but the peripherals like the monitor keyboard and mouse don’t, and i usually turn it off, flip the power supply off and hold the power button for a few seconds witch usually solves the problem, however this doesn’t always work and what i do then is reseat the motherboard battery witch has worked... this worries me because i don’t know whats causing this to happen and kinda worried because this the first system the I’ve built and i feel like at some point this whole reseating and turning thongs on and off is gonna somehow break my computer...
