Not quite sure what to do…
TLDR: how did you bring up a conversation about divorce with a SO that was happy with your marriage?

A year ago, I broke up with my then current girlfriend of 2 years (and a friend for over a decade) to marry a religion conscious woman (within 6 months of meeting her) because i thought it would be better for my family and myself.
Honestly, I wanted to change myself to be better. I actually tried to change. (I was very far from religion / conservative lifestyle)
The wife is actually perfect. She takes care of our household, makes time for us, and tries to make me a better man. I appreciate her ALOT for all those things…
She, however, comes from a broken (yet loving) family, one strife with divorces, cheating and dv.
Her family hoped with our marriage, this would break that cycle and wouldn’t happen. My family deplores divorce as well, I would be setting a precedent.
Lately in our marriage, we fight a lot about stupid & serious stuff. She ends up not talking to me for days. Our relationship is becoming more and more lonely by the day.
In her defense, having moved across the country to live with me, she’s had to over deal with a lot of change. Covid made it all worse, reducing the amount of people we interact wit regularly. She feels like she needs me to hand hold her through networking and making friends.
The thing is because of our relationship dynamic and situation… I’m starting to slowly become less interested in our relationship and more willing to pull away. It’s been so bad at times, I’ve thought about cheating to get the emotional and physical fix I’ve needed. (Deep down, idk if I could do that to the wife)
Apart from both of our flaws though, I feel like we could be good together…. Eventually. One day. But having a hard time seeing the end of tunnel.
Yet I’ve been contemplating divorce.
The question is…
how did you bring up a conversation about divorce with a SO that was happy with your relationship?
Would you stick it out or get a divorce?
