Advice on quitting a job properly

Need help about resignation

I recently got sick the first week of September, and I had to call out sick I tested for COVID negative while I was very sick, but then relatives got sick and my mom was diagnosed with COVID at the hospital, nothing serious but I was worried so I had to go through HR again and I’m out for another week.

I’ve been getting COVID pay but the thing is I’m planning to quit my job for a masters that I’m taking out of the country and I’m planning to leave in October, it will really look very bad if I come back 10 days from now and immediately quit to put my two weeks.

What should I do talk to my manager, HR? The thought of quitting has come while I was waiting hours for HR, I can’t deal with this whole bureaucratic system right now, being away sick and getting ready to leave the country
