Experience social anxiety and microdosing fresh truffels. This post got deleted on an other subreddit, still want to share my story with you guys so i'm posting it here.
First of all i want to say that i am not an expert in anything and that i don't want to encourage anyone in using drugs but i want to share my experience and maybe it can help someone.
Too start i have social anxiety for a while now. Not as bad as other people who share their story's on this subreddit but i had a lot of trouble walking in a city centre, going shopping, going to the gym or meeting new people. My thoughts where going crazy. Most of my thoughts was about my girlfriend. I saw every guy as a threat and i thought every guy wanted to have her. She is beautifull and there are a lot of men looking at her and looking back when they walk by.
Because of a lot of stuff that happend in my past i lost my self confidence. So i was always thinking i wasn't good enough for her and that she would find a better man. This was one of the reasons i got really jealous every time someone looked at her or said something.
Because of this i hated going out with her because we would get in a fight because i got really pissed that other guys where looking at her and my head was going crazy with thoughts.
So i tried meditation, going to a therapist (still going btw), talking to my girlfriend everytime i had these thoughts. But nothing seem to work. Because of corona i was with my girlfriend almost every day and we spent a lot of time together, wich was great! But now everything is back open i started to go crazy every time she went away with friends. I knew these thoughts weren't real and she would do nothing wrong, but thinking about things like that for the whole evening is really stressfull.
After a while i got some panic attacks whenever i was home alone and after a while i would get them when my girlfriend was with me. I knew things where getting bad and that i had to do something before it gets worse.
A few weeks ago my girlfriend started working full time, and i just went crazy over everything. What she would wear going to work, that she didn't get back but went for a drink with some colleague's and my mind was thinking the worst things.
Whenever she was going i had the worst time. Getting panick attacks, feeling depressed and i didn't want to do anything. Just stay at home and do nothing. Everytime i went in a public space i felt my anxiety coming up and i just wanted to go back home.
So, to get to my point. A few months ago i started a microdose for a few weeks. It felt good but i had trouble finding the right dose for me.
After doing more research on this topic i decided to try it again because i read it was good against social anxiety, and a lot more things.
I started yesterday and i had an amazing day. I took it around 0700 hours and around 0800 hours i wanted to go for a walk (i never do that). I walked around a lake for over an hour and it was amazing. I wasn't tripping because i took a really small dose, but i felt happy and really enjoyed the nature around me. My girlfriend needed to go to work and i had to work from home, the last few weeks where horrible whenever she was away and i stayed home, but yesterday i was really calm and didn't had any wrong thoughts about my girlfriend. I even cleaned up my house, something i haven't done in weeks.
I haven't felt this good in months so i am really curious what it does on the long therm for me.
What i want to say with this is if you are interrested (and i guess i have to say: and if it's legal in your country) you can look this up and do your own research on this. I would be happy to help, but again this is my experience and everyone is different.
I don't know if this story makes any sence and sorry for my English but if you got questions feel free to ask them or look up the subreddit: microdosing.
If you are interrested here is a video with a good explenation on micro-dosing and in what way it can help you (or not):
